It's finally happened. They've managed to mix Girls Gone Wild with a toned down, boring version of Trivial Pursuit. They released The Guy Game. A Mature rated trivia/party game with plenty of boobs, beer & bad language for all of us.
The Guy Game is a varied collection of twenty episodes. In each of these episodes you'll meet several new girls (drunk & half naked already) and over a thousand different questions. The purpose of the game is simple. The girls are asked junior high school-level questions, ranging anywhere from basic mathematics to simple 1900s history. After the girls are asked the question, the camera turns to you (the "gamer"), and it's up to you to guess whether or not she got it right or wrong. If she got it wrong... you get to see boobies. Simple. Right?
Not so fast. The creators meant for this game to have at least a little challenge... so they invented the "Flash-O-Meter". A meter at the top of the screen, that, depending on how well you do... guess wise... will gradually fill up. If it doesn't fill up, you're stuck with semi-nudity- naked girls with big censors on their breasts. Sucks huh? We'll don't say we didn't warn you. There are many variations through each episode... which become so boring, that I find them not even worth my time typing. Trust me on this... you do not want to experience this first hand.
The final segment is a physical event (this either winds up being a race, a hula hoop competition or a potato sack event) in which the girls compete against each other. You’ll need to guess which one of the girls will win said event and wager your points on that particular girl. In this segment, many of the girls compete topless and since the Flash-O-Meter has to be 100% full by the time you reach it, you’ll get the full boob-bouncing experience.
Single player is where this game really flops, trips, skins it's knees, and hits the pavement... it sucks. A majority of the crappy questions are asked to you... the gamer, and since each episodes question never change, after a few runs... you'll have each line memorized. Play with friends (if you have any).
On the side, The Guy Game does have some memorable moments... the ballz games come to mind. The game has some pretty cool 3D mini activities including different forms of ski ball; basketball, bowling and they're definitely what guarded the majority of my time.
Visually, as a regular video game, The Guy Game doesn’t have a whole lot going for it. However, as a trivia video game, The Guy Game delivers a one of a kind interface & design, that's easy to navigate, use & you'll quickly know your way around the menus. The girls in the video look as if they would on a DVD. High-quality, space saving DivX codex.
Similar to the visuals, there is not much going on sound wise. The questions are asked to the girls by comedian Matt Sadler. Other sound bytes include the non video-based questions asked to you by a woman narrator and the comic commentators who occasionally chime in with genuinely (and again... occasionally) funny jokes.
Grab a few beers... err... a lot of beers, a few horny friends, four Xbox controllers and enjoy. However, if you're just looking to see some 18-year-old boobies, save $20 and just buy a Girls Gone Wild video... or better yet just hit Google. I recommend this game for nobody.
